The forced relocation of the First Regional team since November, due to the replacement of the artificial turf, appears to be nearing its end. AKE returns home in the crucial final stretch of the championship, with strong prospects for promotion to Preferente.
According to the Federation, on Sunday, April 26, with five matchdays remaining in the league, AKE will play in front of its supporters at Eztala. Their opponent will be Gure Txokoa, and the team will leave behind the trips to Bergara's Ipintza field, where they played most of their home games, and even to Soraluze's Ezozi ground.
For the remainder of the season, Urki and Hernani will also visit Eztala, while the Antzuola team will travel to the fields of Antigua-Luberri and Beasain. All these fixtures are critical, as the team cannot afford any complacency in a very tight league table. They currently hold second place with 21 points, tied with Hernani and Ikasberri. Trintxerpe and Arrupe are two points behind, and Soraluce leads with 24 points. There are six clear contenders for promotion, with three spots available for Preferente.
The club's management hopes that the support from the stands and familiarity with the home ground will motivate the team on its path to promotion. AKE played its last home match in November, securing a convincing 6-0 victory against the Lazkao team.
