The Bilbao City Council began today, October 23, the automatic review of the requirements for the 36,000 resident OTA permit holders in Bilbao, in order to renew these parking permits for 2027.

The process will verify that the vehicle is registered in Bilbao and with the DGT, and that the area associated with the permit matches the holder's registered address. It will also check that the holder is up-to-date with payments to the City Council and that the maximum number of permits per dwelling is not exceeded.
If any requirement is not met or necessary documentation is missing, the City Council will send an alert to the affected person. They will be informed of the reasons for non-compliance and the deadline to regularize their situation before November 23. Messages will be sent via SMS, email, or postal mail.
To regularize the situation, interested parties must contact the OTA Service Citizen Attention Office (Lersundi street nº5, in person Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM) or call 94 470 10 47. If the situation is not regularized, the parking authorization will be automatically canceled from January 1, 2027.
The APP Bilbao Park offers advantages such as real-time checking of permit status, mobile management of OTA parking, payment and time extension without needing to use a parking meter, recovery of unused time, expiration alerts, and management of payments via bank card. It also provides a history of all operations and receipts, and the option to subscribe to OTA service notifications.
