Usurbil City Council has approved taxes, fees, and public prices for 2026, opening the voluntary payment period for the Property Tax until July 1st.

The Usurbil City Council has implemented the taxes, fees, and public prices approved for 2026. Among these, the period for voluntary payment of the Property Tax will run from May 15th to July 1st. The council has published the announcement through the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa.
The new fiscal ordinances were definitively approved unanimously by the council on December 5th and published in the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa (BOG) on December 17th, coming into effect on January 1st for the new year. The final approval, initially scheduled for November 27th, was postponed to allow time to respond to submitted allegations.
According to the municipal government team, the objective of the fiscal ordinances is to offer the best possible public service to citizens through revenue, ensuring financial balance. They also view these ordinances as a means to "continue building a more egalitarian, livable, and sustainable Usurbil."
The general increase in taxes, fees, and public prices for 2026 will be 3%, based on the previous year's CPI. However, there will be some exceptions. Additionally, the council approved incorporating two modifications on April 30th: updating course prices and creating new public prices for courses such as skateboarding, OKI (balance, coordination, and strength), basic strength training for women, and functional training.
These decisions, provisionally approved, have been made public for review and the submission of claims. The 30-business-day period is open, counting from May 19th. If this period passes without suggestions, the decisions will be considered final.
