The Elkar-ekin association has its Soreasu Elkargunea and Arropagunea ready for the new season. Building on recent years' work, they aim to improve services to cater to an increasing number of users.
The Arropagunea distributes free clothing to those most in need in the town, via a voucher provided at the start of the year. With this voucher, users can collect needed clothing throughout the year during shop hours. Additionally, second-hand clothing is available for sale to all residents, neat and affordable.
The Elkargunea aims to offer essential household materials affordably. They will continue collecting items that are available but unused in homes, such as furniture, mattresses, kitchenware, toys, bicycles, books, and computers, to offer them to users at low cost.
The Elkargunea will be open on Fridays from 16:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays from 10:00 to 13:00. The Arropagunea will open on Tuesdays from 11:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 19:30; Wednesdays and Thursdays from 17:00 to 19:30; Fridays from 16:00 to 20:00; and Saturdays from 10:00 to 13:00.
There are numerous opportunities to participate as a volunteer. Mondays are dedicated to organizing clothes and tidying the Elkargunea, while Tuesdays involve warehouse and supply tasks. Shifts are organized to open the Elkargunea on Fridays and Saturdays, and twice a year, the Errigora campaign and product distribution take place.
Elkar-ekin encourages more people to become volunteers, offering full flexibility in terms of calendar and schedule. Interested individuals can get in touch via email at elkar_ekin@hotmail.com, by Whatsapp or Telegram at 644 96 16 06, or in person at the Elkargunea during its regular hours.
