Works to adapt the Zarkumendegi parking lot in Astigarraga, which began on July 20th, are set to conclude by the end of October, creating space for approximately 100 vehicles.

The aim of these works is the definitive adaptation of the parking area around the football field for its use in the coming years and during various events. Within the project, the parking lot will be adapted for cars and vans, and bollards will be installed to restrict truck access. For buses, the parking spaces adjacent to the road will be used.
The bollard at the lower exit will be mobile to allow for access adaptation when necessary for special events. Traffic will also be organized: entry will be from the upper side and exit from the lower side, to prevent vehicle crossings.
In total, space will be created to park around 100 vehicles. Additionally, the access to the cycle path will be improved and made safer, and permeable ground will be used in the parking areas, such as a surface that allows grass to grow.
The total cost of the work has been 796,005.05 euros, including VAT.
