The Municipal Youth Service has launched a new call for the Project Pool of the alternative leisure program Gauekoak, inviting young people, collectives, and associations to propose their initiatives.

This biannual initiative is aimed at young people, collectives, and associations from Vitoria-Gasteiz to propose activities that enrich the city's leisure offerings. The Councilor for Youth, Ana López de Uralde, highlights that "with this initiative, the municipal government actively promotes youth participation in designing the city's healthy leisure offer. We want young people to be able to drive their own ideas, transform them into activities for this group in Vitoria-Gasteiz, and thus contribute to creating a program that responds to their interests and concerns".
The call is open to proposals from various fields, such as culture, sports, and leisure, among others, as long as they align with the program's philosophy. Interested individuals and collectives can submit their initiatives until November 1. The requirements can be consulted in the call's guidelines.
Gauekoak opens this call twice a year to gather new proposals and enrich its programming. In the previous edition, 11 initiatives were received, six of which have been incorporated into the current autumn-winter season's agenda. Specifically, the program includes the LGBTIQ Film Festival by the Iris Audiovisual association; a tabletop role-playing game and a miniature painting workshop, both by VOLTER; ‘Zure ahotsa, zure kanta’ by ZAZK; a sewing bootcamp by DUARA LAB; and Libro objeto by EURIE.
