The third and final phase of urban renewal works in Urrestilla's town center has concluded, with Kaleaundi and Altuna Errota streets now reopened to traffic and bus stops reinstated.

The works, which began last March, are in their final stages. In this last phase, the Azpeitia City Council planned to renew the pavement and infrastructure of Kaleaundi, as well as resurface the ground and create a new sidewalk on Altuna Errota street. These tasks are now nearing completion.
After Kaleaundi and Altuna Errota were asphalted last week, the new surfaces were painted yesterday and the streets reopened to traffic. Since the works began, Kaleaundi has been completely closed to vehicles, affecting the usual bus stops for line and school transport over the bridge.
Following three months where buses used the Kalebarrene parking lot, they will return to their regular stops starting today. The only remaining task to complete the urban renewal project is the finishing of the new sidewalk on Altuna Errota.
