The Karela sports center in Orio has commenced the sector phase of the Women's Youth Handball Spanish Championship, where four teams will battle for the single spot in the state final.

From this Friday until Sunday, the Karela sports center will be the venue for the sector phase of the Spanish Handball Championship in the women's youth category. Four teams will participate, playing a round-robin format over three days.
The competition will start on Friday, the 1st, with two matches: at 4:30 PM, Leganes will face Porriño, and at 6:30 PM, Dhemen-Zipri Orio will play against the Catalan team Les Franqueses. Saturday's schedule begins at 10:00 AM with the match between Leganes and Les Franqueses, followed by the Orio team playing against Porriño at 12:00 PM. The phase will conclude on Sunday with the third day, featuring a clash at 10:00 AM between Les Franqueses and Porriño, and at 12:00 PM between Dhemen-Zipri Orio and Leganes.
Only the group winner will be rewarded with a place in the final phase of the state championship, which will see the eight winners from this weekend's sector phases qualify. It's a challenging task for the young Orio players, but they will have the advantage of support from the stands.
Meanwhile, the senior team Zuhegan Orio will compete in the play-off in Berango. The semi-final is scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 PM against Aloña Mendi, and if they win, they would play the final on Sunday at 12:00 PM against the winner of the other semi-final between Berango/Urduliz and Elgoibar.
