The Getaria team secured one of its best results of the season, racing in the leading positions from the start and withstanding pressure from Bermeo and Zierbena.
Although the three boats arrived very close in the final stretch, Getaria showed great strength in the last meters, fending off Zierbena's attacks and securing second place at the finish line. Despite Orio's victory, Getaria did not allow their pursuers any chance.
With this result, Getaria gains a one-point lead over Bermeo for third place in the overall standings. Therefore, on the eve of the season's final race, Getaria holds third place, and the performance shown in Bermeo gives them confidence for the final event.
The final race of the Eusko Label League will take place tomorrow in Portugalete. Getaria will compete in the Honor Series alongside Orio, Zierbena, and Bermeo, in a regatta starting at 13:09. Getaria will approach the final challenge with the goal of maintaining its third position in the general classification.
