Julen Egiguren V.a began the quarter-final league of the B Series singles championship with a victory. In a match played yesterday at Nafarroa Arena in Pamplona, he defeated Asier Agirre 22-16. Meanwhile, Unai Alberdi II.a started the league with a loss, falling 22-15 to Iñaki Rekalde on Friday at the Gurea fronton in Azkoitia.

Both players from Azpeitia are competing in Group A of the B Series singles championship. Next weekend, in the second round of the league, the winners from the first round will face each other, as will the losers. Thus, Alberdi II.a will compete against Agirre on Friday at Santanpe in Gernika, and Rekalde will be Egiguren V.a's opponent on Sunday at Ogueta in Vitoria. In the final round of the league, Egiguren V.a and Alberdi II.a will play against each other.
