Technical problems that arose before the regatta in Pasaia significantly impacted the competition. The inability to line up the boats in four lanes due to issues with a buoy forced a change in format. The vessels competed individually from lane 2 in a time trial. The male participants of the KAE 1 league completed their races divided into three heats starting from 12:00.
In yesterday's regatta in Astillero, contested by Zarautz, the teams from Zarautz and Zumaia engaged in a close contest until the end, but it was Enbata who ultimately claimed the flag with a two-second lead. Today, however, Deustu has demonstrated superiority over the others, achieving a time of 20:47:70. The Biscayan team won with a considerable margin, as Zarautz recorded a time of 20:59:00. Similar to yesterday, Zumaia secured third place today with a time of 21:14:27.
In the overall standings, Zumaia (Telmo Deun) maintains its third position with 21 points. Zarautz leads the table with 23 points, and Deustu holds the second spot with 22 points. Consequently, Zumaia has made a strong start to the league.
The next event is scheduled for June 27th, a Saturday, in Plentzia (Bizkaia), starting at 16:00. Meanwhile, the club's first women's team will commence the Euskotren league in Madrid, specifically in Buitrago del Lozoya, on Sunday at 11:20.
