On Monday, the application period will open for grants designed to fill local commercial spaces with new entrepreneurs and promote generational change in activities, thereby aiming to boost commerce.
This aid will last for one year, and beneficiaries will receive a maximum of 500 euros per month, provided it does not exceed 100% of the rental cost. VAT will not be subsidized. The deadline to submit applications is October 5th, inclusive, and they can be submitted at the town hall or online.
To qualify for the subsidy, all conditions outlined in the bases must be met. These include no family ties between the beneficiary and the lessor, up-to-date municipal tax and fee payments, compliance with Social Security obligations, and ensuring the presence of the Basque language in the business.
This marks the third consecutive year these grants are being distributed as part of the Strategic Commerce Plan. Furthermore, the council has doubled the amount allocated for these subsidies compared to what was offered last year.
