The Basque Coast Geopark is immersed in the European Geoparks Week program, with two talks scheduled for today and tomorrow focusing on science and surf.

Today at 6:00 PM, the exhibition 'Surf and Science' will open at the Oxford hall. At the opening ceremony, Joseba Egaña, head of forecasting at Euskalmet (Basque Meteorology Agency), will discuss the influence of meteorology on waves. The exhibition will be on display until May 31st.
Tomorrow's talk is set to be one of the most significant events organized between Deba, Mutriku, and Zumaia as part of the European Geoparks Week. Surfer and PhD in physical oceanography Tony Butt will be at the Aita Mari hall, in conversation with Asier Hilario, the geopark's scientific director. The discussion will begin at 7:00 PM and will have free admission.
