Azpeitia prepares for Domusa Teknik mountain races

The 40 and 15-kilometer races will start tomorrow morning with over 1,000 runners, and bib numbers are being distributed today.

Azpeitia is set to host the Domusa Teknik 40 and 15 MLK mountain races tomorrow, Saturday. Over 1,000 runners will compete in the two events, with bib number distribution having started this afternoon.

Organizers began distributing bib numbers and necessary materials today, Friday, at Azpeitia's Azoka Plaza. Doors opened at 5:30 PM, leading to queues in the initial hours. Distribution will continue until 8:00 PM today, and will also be available tomorrow from 6:00 AM onwards.
Participants in the long race (40 MLK) will have until 7:30 AM to collect their bibs, while those in the short race (15 MLK) can do so until 8:30 AM. According to the organizers, everything is proceeding smoothly and is ready for tomorrow's major event.
In addition to the races, Azpeitia will host a varied program of events tomorrow. The 40-kilometer race will start at 8:00 AM with 580 runners, and an hour later, at 9:00 AM, the 26-kilometer race will begin with 450 participants. The awards ceremony will take place at 8:15 PM, followed by an elektrotxaranga and concerts.

Furthermore, at Gune Urdina Ikasberri, awareness games, inflatables, and inclusive games will be offered by the Real Sociedad Foundation. At the Xoxote hostel, paella will be available for tasting at midday.
