Two Gold Medals at the Basque Championship: Fernandez in Javelin and Sudupe in 5,000m

Euken Fernandez and June Sudupe clinched gold medals at the Basque Championship, surpassing personal bests and records.

Euken Fernandez emerged victorious in the javelin throw with a mark of 61.32 meters. Additionally, June Sudupe secured the gold medal in the 5,000 meters race with a time of 17.23, also setting a new Tolosa CF record for the distance.
Several other athletes achieved notable results, improving their personal bests. Three of them met the qualifying standards for the Spanish Championship: Eñaut Arostegi in the 1,500 meters, and Idoia Arrospide and Aitana Aierbeena in the 800 meters.
Furthermore, two Tolosa CF athletes competed in the U16 Spanish Championship this past weekend. Beñat Iraola finished in 15th place in the 1,500m steeplechase with a time of 4.41. Irina Mendizabal, in her first year in the category, fell during the 1,000 meters and did not qualify for the final, ending in 21st position.
