The incident took place around three in the morning, when a municipal police patrol observed a fire in a car parked on Alameda Rekalde. Officers alerted the fire department and informed the vehicle's owner about what had happened.

This is not the first time a car has been found burned out in Bilbao. Last November, three vehicles were completely destroyed in the Otxarkoaga neighborhood after catching fire. Also, in October, a fire on Labayru street consumed five containers and caused damage to five other cars.
