The Andalusian band 091 will perform this Saturday, May 2, at Santana 27 Hall in Bilbao, with a “thorn in their side” due to the cancellation of their 2020 concert because of the pandemic, as stated by the band's guitarist.

The group from Granada, in the words of its guitarist and composer, José Ignacio Lapido, had an outstanding debt with the Vizcayan capital after the suspension of the concert scheduled for February 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The band's latest album, Espejismo nº9, has received critical acclaim and has been enthusiastically welcomed by their followers. Lapido has expressed his surprise at the “level of knowledge” people have of the new songs, chanting them fervently during live performances.

"No self-respecting band fails to visit Bilbao when on tour. We also have a thorn in our side from the cancellation of the concert for our previous album, 'La Otra Vida'. We suspended it a little before having to be confined because we saw that things were super dark and the news coming in was horrible, and we considered that perhaps it was not the most appropriate to gather people in a venue given the situation."

Lapido added that he believes things are better now at a health level, although not at other levels, where they are actually worse. However, he hopes that the missiles being launched in Iran will not reach Santana Hall, and thus they will be able to offer the concert that Bilbao deserves.
The return of 091 is not an exercise in nostalgia, but an affirmation of the present. In a changing landscape where rock no longer dominates but continues to beat, their proposal feels more necessary than ever.
