This weekend, the world of magic returns to the neighborhoods of Erandiogoikoa, Altzaga, and Astrabudua in Erandio to celebrate the festival's tenth anniversary. The event, created ten years ago as part of the City Council's commitment to diversify cultural offerings, will bring together 11 magicians this year.
The festival's aim is to bring magic to the streets, with performances held in squares and public spaces. Additionally, workshops for children will be organized, and the Magipoteoa will take place, where magicians will surprise people in bars and on terraces.
Among the artists participating this year are Miguel Muñoz, winner of the 2018 World Magic Championship; Lola Mento, first prize winner of the 2024 Spanish Magic Championship; Juan Paños, Max Verdié, and Eriz. Javi Benitez will be responsible for presenting the show.
The schedule runs from Friday to Sunday. In Erandiogoikoa, on Friday, September 25th, at 6:00 PM, the show Por arte de encantamiento will be held in Euskadi Square, free of charge.
On Saturday, September 26th, in Altzaga, a magic workshop with Balbi will take place at 11:30 AM in the Old Market. Afterwards, at 1:00 PM, the Magipoteoa will occur with magicians Rubik, Balbi, and Eriz. In the evening, at 8:00 PM, the main gala will be held at the Old Market, featuring Juan Paños, Miguel Muñoz, Lola Mento, Max Verdié, and Eriz. The gala ticket costs 4 euros.
On Sunday, September 27th, in Astrabudua, there will be a magic workshop with Tor and Txoborrob at 11:30 AM. At 1:00 PM, Luigi Ludus's Cantando bajo la magia will be presented at the Josu Murueta Cultural Center. In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, La magia de un trotamundos will be performed.
