The Ordizia Town Council has launched the second edition of 'Bizi Auzoak', a program designed to establish the municipality as an 'educating city' by bringing leisure activities to all its neighborhoods.

Through this initiative, the Council aims to decentralize cultural programming, moving activities from the town center to different residential areas. The Councilor for Welfare, Equality, and Education has confirmed the project's continuation, motivated by the positive results achieved last year.

"The initiative was very well received, and that success has encouraged us to continue it. Our goal is to progressively extend the offer to more neighborhoods and consolidate it."

Although the program covers age groups from early childhood to 6th grade of primary school, the Town Council has placed a special emphasis on intensifying the offer for students from 3rd to 6th grade, considering this age range as the main focus. The activities are designed to take advantage of spring and the increased presence of minors in public spaces, seeking to integrate various artistic disciplines.
The Culture technician highlighted the active participation of local agents in designing the activities. In particular, she praised the contribution of Ordiziarrock, whose collaboration has facilitated the inclusion of musical groups from the rehearsal rooms in Majori. The Council hopes to increase the involvement of other local agents in future editions.
The program kicked off last Sunday, April 19, in Otatza square in Buztuntza, with the 'Matraka Culinary Center' show. Soon, the focus will shift to the town center: on Saturday, Elkano street will host, at 6:30 PM, a performance by Jon Ritter DJ. The following day, Barandiaran square will be the scene of a double event: at 12:00 PM, there will be a yoga session for schoolchildren up to 6th grade, and at 4:30 PM, a chalk and time lapse recording workshop open to the general public.
The month of May will bring other important events in different neighborhoods. On May 10, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, the Jakintza ikastola in Altamira will host a circus workshop for children from 1st to 6th grade of primary school, an activity that will require prior registration. The program will continue on May 17 in the San Juan neighborhood. On the basketball court, the yoga session will be repeated at 12:00 PM, while in the afternoon, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, an Euskera scavenger hunt will be held in the Filipinas 40 area, also requiring registration.
Finally, the closing of 'Bizi Auzoak' will arrive in Otegienea at the end of May. On May 30, at 6:00 PM, the basketball court will host a concert by Ekeko el Perro, and on the 31st, at the same time and place, it will be the turn of a magic show by Iago.
