The bus service between Legazpi and Donostia will be strengthened from June 1st, with two additional buses added to the GO07 line in each direction. Furthermore, the schedule for the DG09 line, connecting Legazpi with the hospital, will be modified to facilitate transfers in Zumarraga for travelers heading to Donostia.

This was announced by Azahara Dominguez, Deputy for Mobility, Tourism, and Spatial Planning, and Oscar Valbuena, Councilor for Sustainable Development, Energy Transition, and Transport in Legazpi, following an analysis of the line's usage data and passenger transfers.

Specifically, buses currently departing from Zumarraga at 10:15 AM and 12:15 PM will now depart from Legazpi at 10:05 AM and 12:05 PM starting June 1st. Additionally, buses leaving Donostia at 4:45 PM and 5:45 PM will extend their route to Legazpi. These services complement those launched in May of last year.

The Deputy specified that usage data from the past year indicates that most transfers occur during these hours, leading to the decision to have buses depart from or arrive in Legazpi at these times. In total, from Monday to Friday, there will be eight direct connections between Donostia and Legazpi, four in the morning and four in the afternoon.

The schedules for the DG09 line, which connects Legazpi, Zumarraga, and the Hospital, will also be adjusted. This will ensure that passengers can make their transfers to the Donostia-bound line at the intermodal station in Zumarraga. It is also noted that transfers to Donostia can be made in Zumarraga using the DG04 line, which serves the Arrasate-Oñati-Legazpi-Zumarraga route.
