Club Ipurua Secures Thirteen Medals at Gipuzkoa Amateur Championship

The Eibar club achieved six gold, six silver, and one bronze medal in Ibarra, ensuring full qualification for the Basque Country Championship.

Club Ipurua rhythmic gymnastics team delivered an outstanding performance at the Gipuzkoa Amateur Championship, held last Saturday in Ibarra, where they accumulated a total of thirteen medals and qualified most of their gymnasts for the Basque Country Championship.

The club secured six gold, six silver, and one bronze medal, reaffirming its high standard. The most notable achievement came in the Cadete B category, where a team was crowned territorial champion in the general classification, which also grants them promotion to category A for the upcoming season.
Individually by apparatus, one gymnast won gold with clubs, while her teammate earned silver with hoop. In the same category, another gymnast narrowly missed the podium with a fourth-place finish, and another team concluded in sixth position. All of them successfully qualified for the Basque Country Championship.
In the Cadete A category, a gymnast delivered a strong performance, securing silver with hoop and finishing fifth in the general classification, which also grants her passage to the regional championship. In the Juvenil A category, another gymnast claimed silver in the general, boosted by her victory in ball. In Sénior A, a gymnast was proclaimed Gipuzkoa champion after winning gold in ball and silver in hoop. In Sénior B, a gymnast finished fifth overall, also securing her qualification.
In the Máster B category, Club Ipurua once again demonstrated its high level across all age groups. One gymnast placed second overall, another finished fourth with a notable silver in rope, and a third secured gold in ball, despite finishing seventh in the general classification.
In the group modality, Cadete T qualified in ninth position and Cadete F in fifteenth. However, the latter group managed to redeem itself the following day at the Irunesa Tournament, where they achieved a meritorious second place. Sunday also saw the youngest gymnasts participate in the second Benjamin Meeting of the season held in Arrasate, continuing their training in a non-competitive learning environment.
The activities of Club Ipurua continue without pause. This Sunday, the Ipurua sports center will host the Gipuzkoa Championship for absolute and base federated gymnasts, where the Eibar club will once again have a broad representation, consolidating its excellent sporting moment across all categories.
