The Oñati City Council has decided to improve the play area located behind the buildings at 3-5 San Juan street, next to the school. The goal of the works is to create a more balanced, functional, and attractive play space, ensuring safety in compliance with current regulations.
The renovation work began last week. After removing all play equipment and the old rubber surfacing, new rubber flooring is being installed. Additionally, a new elevated play element with a slide and other play structures will be added.
To carry out these works, proposals were requested from three specialized companies, and Zarautzko Jolas-ena has been selected. This company presented the most economical offer and proposed completing the work within a two-month timeframe. The contract amounts to 15,881 euros, and the works are expected to be finished in a few days.
