The local hand pelota doubles championship in Elgeta is accepting registrations until this Sunday. Interested participants can sign up via the QR code found on posters. The competition is free and open to pelota enthusiasts of all ages.
Matches will be held at the Elgeta municipal fronton. The elimination rounds begin on June 2nd at 5:00 PM. The semifinals are scheduled for June 4th, and the finals will take place on Tuesday, June 9th.

In related news, the voting period for the poster contest for Elgeta's Azoka Nagusiko Jaixak 2026 festivities closes on May 31st. Six proposals are on display in the 'buztin gela'.
