The guidelines were published on Friday, October 23rd, in the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa. The application period begins today and will remain open until November 13th. The grant aims to provide financial assistance for the creation of any work stemming from the artist's imagination, such as music, painting, sculpture, literature, theater, cinema, comics, sound compositions, audiovisual works, digital compositions, or dance choreographies.
Individuals working or aspiring to start in any cultural field, as well as groups of individuals or cultural groups without legal personality, can apply for the grant. Applicants, or group members, must be at least 16 years old on the date of application. Projects that have already been staged, published, or publicly presented are excluded from this call.
The grant has a maximum endowment of 5,000 euros. In principle, there will be a single beneficiary, although the Evaluation Committee may decide to fund more projects based on their ranking.
To evaluate the projects, consideration will be given to, among other aspects, the project's interest and quality, its capacity to create or involve new audiences, its relevance to Bergara, the use of multiple disciplines, synergies with other agents, and a gender perspective. To receive the grant, a minimum of 35 points must be achieved. The beneficiary will have eight months to complete the project and must present the work publicly, in Basque.
Applications can be submitted at the Town Council's General Registry (B@Z attention service) or through the Town Council's electronic portal. The application form and templates for other documents are available on the electronic portal.
