Eskoriatza is set to become the vibrant hub this Saturday for the II Debagoiena Basque Public School Festival, a celebration marking the 25th anniversary of Goieskola and the 55th anniversary of Luis Ezeiza Herri Eskola.

The festival's program will unfold across various locations in the municipality from early morning. In Herriko Plaza, a welcome event will kick off the day at 10:30 AM, followed by the Oñati clowns Potx eta Lotx at 12:30 PM. In the afternoon, the same square will host a participatory romería with Aliritzi at 4:30 PM and a concert by Alarma Morea at 6:00 PM.
Meanwhile, the courtyard of Luis Ezeiza school will feature a sports competition in the morning, and from 5:00 PM, concerts by the groups 4D/49, Perlata, and Babesgabe will take center stage. Activities will also extend to other areas: Santa Marina Plaza will host rhythmic gymnastics demonstrations and inflatables, while Gorosarri Plaza will feature aerial silks performances. On Arana Street, workshops and a market bringing together various associations will be set up.
The sports center will be the venue for a popular meal, followed by a storytelling session. The charanga band and the giants and big-heads will also be present, adding rhythm and color to the streets. Additionally, a 'purple point' will be established, offering attention, information, and support for potential situations of gender-based violence, along with 'food trucks' providing a gastronomic offer to satisfy appetites. Special parking areas will also be available at the old railway station, Torrebaso, and Ederlan to facilitate attendance.
Regarding public transport, special Lurraldebus services will operate between Bergara and Eskoriatza, with departures at 10:15 AM, 11:15 AM, and 12:15 PM, and returns at 6:25 PM, 7:25 PM, and 8:25 PM. Furthermore, the DG10 line (Bergara–Arrasate–Aretxabaleta–Eskoriatza) will be reinforced based on demand. Schedules can be consulted on the Lurraldebus website or by calling 900 300 340.
