The wooden pieces stored in Atxabalpe, Arrasate, will be covered by the Department of Culture of the Provincial Council in the coming days. These pieces were placed on battens to insulate them from the ground and avoid direct contact with moisture, but the initially planned covering was postponed due to the high humidity of the pieces at the time of transfer.
The original plan involved covering the wooden structure with tarps, but it was deemed that immediate covering could hinder proper wood ventilation and lead to condensation or deterioration processes, given the high humidity levels of the pieces upon relocation.
During this period, follow-up visits have been conducted to check the drying level and moisture content of the pieces. They have also taken the opportunity to carry out verification and contrast work on the scanning performed during the structure's disassembly.
