In yesterday's event, representatives from the teams Floreaga of Azkoitia, San Joxepe of Bergara, Asola-Berri of Eibar, San Migel of Elgoibar, UDA Hirutxirlo of Aretxabaleta, Elgeta, Lastur, and Ezozi and San Andres of Soraluze competed. In this final round, Jokin Arrizabalaga from Lastur secured the victory, followed by Jabier Osoro from the San Migel team and Arkaitz Rodriguez from Asola Berri.
The championship, which began in March, comprised nine rounds in total, with yesterday's event being the tenth. Consequently, the winners of this 55th edition of the Gipuzkoa championship have been decided. In the men's category, Gorka Madinabeitia from the UDA team was the overall winner, while in the women's category, Enara Montiel from Asola Berri took the title. In the men's division, Javi Martino (Ezozi) and Garikoitz Rodriguez (Asola Berri) placed second and third, respectively; and in the women's division, Isana Gorosabel (UDA) and Olatz Arano (San Joxepe) secured second and third place.
Following yesterday's round, the rankings for pairs, teams, and individual categories were also finalized. It is noteworthy that no bowler from the Floreaga of Azkoitia team managed to secure a spot in the top three of the overall standings.
Next weekend, the Asola Berri bowling alley in Eibar will host the Pelotari Day, where the top 64 ranked players from the championship will compete for the Lehendakari Prize. To conclude the season, a dinner will be held at a restaurant in Eibar, after which the awards will be presented. Additionally, a special tribute will be paid to Bittor Astigarraga, Bittor Ugarteburu, and Jose Angel Astigarraga, all from Eibar.
