The Eibar City Council hosted the official presentation of the 55th Valenciaga Memorial on Wednesday night, one of the most prestigious elite-U23 events in the national calendar.

The race will start this Sunday at 9:00 AM from Toribio Etxebarria Street, with a neutralized start until Apalategi, where the official beginning will be given. From there, participants will face a demanding 158.5-kilometer route that maintains the classic essence of the Eibar event, with broken terrain and hardly any rest.
The course will include ascents to Itziar, Meagas, Areitio, and San Miguel, all third category; Elgeta, second category; and the decisive Ixua, a first-category climb, which will once again be a key point in the fight for victory, as it was in the fifth stage of the Itzulia, the Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar, and the Club Ciclista Eibarrés cadet trophy in recent weeks.
The finish is expected around 1:00 PM on Toribio Etxebarria Street itself, where an open outcome is anticipated after a day that, as usual, will combine high pace, attacks at key points, and team strategies. The Valenciaga Memorial, the flagship event of the Club Ciclista Eibarrés, has established itself as a true showcase of talent, where many riders have begun their path to professionalism.
Regarding the organization, the City Council reminded that the race will affect traffic during Sunday morning. The peloton will cross Eibar twice before the finish, so drivers are advised to pay attention to signage. For those who cannot follow the race live, the event can be watched via streaming on the Club Ciclista Eibarrés YouTube channel.
