The Provincial Council of Álava will improve several roads in Aiaraldea through the 2026 Road Surface Plan, as well as the routes connecting the region with other towns in Álava or with Vitoria-Gasteiz. In total, the pavement of sections on 40 roads will be repaired, with almost 55% of the budget allocated to work on secondary roads.
Among the works to be carried out in the region, the A-3641 road, where problems and accidents have become common, will be repaired over a stretch of at least 2 kilometers. These improvement works were already announced in mid-June when the provincial deputy Jon Nogales met with the mayors of Okondo and Aiara.
Additionally, interventions will be made on other roads. In the basic network, the A-625 road will have specific areas with potholes, cracks, and deformations repaired between Amurrio and Llodio, through milling and resurfacing. The road surface layer will also be renewed on sections of the Urduña pass road (A-2622) for one kilometer.
Finally, work will be carried out on five roads of priority interest: the A-1 (six sections, 10.5 km), the N-124 (one kilometer before the Las Conchas tunnel), the N-240 (specific points), the N-622 (one kilometer after the Gopegi junction), and the AP-1 (specific points).
