An accident involving a bus from the Etxaurren ikastola in Okondo this morning has highlighted the ongoing safety concerns on the narrow A-3641 road.

An incident this morning involving a bus transporting students from the Etxaurren ikastola on the A-3641 road in Okondo has once again brought the poor condition of the route to light. The bus had to swerve off the road to avoid a collision with a truck crossing at the same time, due to the road's narrowness. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the event has sparked renewed anger amidst frequent traffic accidents at this location.
Following this incident, the Municipalities of Okondo and Aiara have reiterated their demand to the Provincial Deputy, Jon Nogales, for a definitive solution to the infrastructure's problems. The Okondo City Council directly informed Nogales of the event, while the Aiara City Council sent a letter, following up on a similar communication made just weeks ago.
Both institutions agree that it is time to move from complaints to action, emphasizing the essential improvements needed in the infrastructure to guarantee user safety.
