Participants of the 'Camino de Santiago a vela' have arrived in Bermeo before heading to Santurtzi, highlighting opportunities in the maritime sector.

The participants of the 'Camino de Santiago a vela' (Way of Saint James by sail) have docked in the port of Bermeo, with the aim of disseminating information about maritime professions and training opportunities in the sector.
This year, focusing on 'blue professions', they are promoting the job and training opportunities offered by the maritime and fishing sector through a digital platform called 'BluePath'.
During their visit to the fishing town, they toured the Fisherman's Museum, paying homage to the memory of seafarers. Through demonstrations, educational activities, and encounters with young people, families, educators, and local stakeholders, they present a current and open vision of the sea.
They showcase the sea as a space for employment, innovation, science, technology, tourism, sustainability, and professional development.
After its passage through Basque waters, the journey will continue through Cantabria (Laredo and Santander), Asturias (Gijón and Avilés), and Galicia, docking in various locations before reaching Santiago de Compostela.
