The territory of Bizkaia experienced a typical summer day this Tuesday, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees in 21 locations, although a yellow rain warning was activated for the afternoon.

This Tuesday, Bizkaia experienced a day with summer-like temperatures, with 21 points across the territory recording over 30 degrees Celsius. In Bilbao, thermometers reached up to 36 degrees. However, according to the Basque Meteorological Agency, Euskalmet, the hottest spot in the region was Jarralta, with 33 degrees.
According to Euskalmet's data, the stations that registered the highest temperatures were: Jarralta (33 degrees), Sodupe (32.7), Bilbao (31.9), Elorrio (31.9), Areta (31.2), Berna (31.2), Galdakao (31.2), Sangroniz (31.2), Abusu (31.1), Balmaseda (31), Igorre (30.9), Amorebieta (30.8), Urkizu (30.8), Venta Alta (30.8), Mungia (30.7), Iurreta (30.6), Orozko (30.6), Zalla (30.6), Galindo (30.3), Urduliz (30.2), and Cueto (30.1).
Despite these high temperatures, the Security Department of the Basque Government activated a yellow warning for rain for Tuesday afternoon, between 6:00 PM and 12:00 AM. It is anticipated that more than fifteen liters per square meter could accumulate in just one hour.
