As part of the works in the San Miguel-Anaka area, the removal of the plane tree alignment on Jaizkibel street is planned. To carry out the electrical channeling works, their removal is necessary. This channeling is urgent to eliminate the tower and overhead cabling crossing the Lekaenea school's courtyard as soon as possible, thus continuing with the new San Miguel-Anaka area works, which will bring the construction of 1,182 new homes to the city.
Additionally, due to the ongoing works in the second phase of reurbanization around Villas de Anaka, it has been detected that part of the boundary wall of the municipal plot for the drawing and painting school, located on Reina Fabiola street, is in poor condition. The sidewalks bordering this wall are to be reurbanized and will be renewed over a 75-meter stretch, between the pedestrian accesses of Gaskoi and Misionero Lekuona streets. In this area, three dry Chamaecyparis lawsoniana specimens and one in decline have been found in the tree alignment behind the wall, and they will be removed.
These actions are based on safety criteria and needs arising from the planned works in both zones. Furthermore, possibilities for replacing the trees will be analyzed with the aim of maintaining, as far as possible, and improving the presence of green areas in the environment.
