The Mendizorrotza Hospitality School in Vitoria-Gasteiz hosted the semifinal of the Álava Pintxo Championship 2026 this past Tuesday, a significant event in the region's gastronomic calendar that brought together some of the best hospitality professionals from Álava.
A total of 16 establishments and chefs participated in this qualifying round, with 12 of them earning a spot in the championship's grand final.
The championship is organized by SEA Hostelería and Miniature Cooking Experience, entities that continue to champion the promotion of Álava's gastronomy and its local hospitality talent.

This initiative serves as a prelude to the Pintxo Week, scheduled from June 4 to 14, 2026, offering the public the chance to taste the participating creations at various establishments across Álava and Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The grand final will take place on June 17 at the Peña Vitoriana, where the finalists will compete for the title of the best pintxo in Álava 2026.
