The Foral Government Council approved on Tuesday the calls for the year 2027 for the granting of aid to local entities in the Historical Territory of Álava. These lines, with an initial allocation of 2,951,036 euros, aim to support councils, municipalities, and other Alavese local entities in improving infrastructure, equipment, and collective use spaces in rural areas.
The call for Minor Works Execution will have an initial allocation of 2,213,277 euros. This program serves as a financial cooperation instrument between the Provincial Council of Álava and the territory's local entities to fund small-scale investments, with a maximum cost of 35,000 euros, VAT included. Each local entity may submit a single application.
The Provincial Council also approved the call for Initiatives for the Promotion of Neighborhood Relations, initially endowed with 737,759 euros. This line seeks to foster neighborhood relations in rural society and reinforce the sense of community by financing actions carried out through the traditional system of veredas or auzolan. In this case, aid can be allocated to actions costing no more than 30,000 euros, VAT included. As with the Minor Works program, each local entity may submit a single application.
The deadline for submitting applications will be one month from the day following the publication of each call in the BOTHA. Applications must be submitted through the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Álava. These grants are part of the provincial policy of cooperation with local entities and contribute to maintaining and improving nearby services, infrastructure, and public spaces, as well as supporting traditional forms of community collaboration.
