The Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council has announced that, starting April 29, pets will be allowed on the ground floor of the San Martín offices and at the Síndica's office, provided certain regulations are met.

The Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council has implemented a new measure allowing companion animals into certain municipal offices. As of April 29, dogs, cats, and other pets can now enter the ground floor of the San Martín offices and the Síndica's facilities, located in La Florida park.
This protocol, approved by the Local Government Board, establishes strict access and capacity conditions. Animals entering these buildings must be properly identified, registered, and vaccinated, and maintain appropriate hygiene and behavior.
Dogs must be on a leash shorter than two meters, and those considered potentially dangerous must wear a muzzle. Other animals must remain in a carrier. Regarding capacity, the ground floor of San Martín will allow a maximum of four animals, with one pet per person, while the Síndica's Office will permit up to two pets simultaneously.
Both premises will feature clear information and signage to inform citizens about these rules. It is essential that pets are controlled at all times within municipal facilities, and owners are responsible for cleaning up any excretions. Feeding animals inside these areas is prohibited.
