The rhythmic 'tun tun' of the Vitoria-Gasteiz Tamborrada resonated through the Iradier Arena during its general rehearsal, as adults and children fine-tuned their performances for the upcoming San Prudencio festivities.

Final preparations for the Vitoria-Gasteiz Tamborrada are underway, just days before one of the year's major events. Both adults and children gathered at the Iradier Arena for the penultimate general rehearsal, where the distinctive 'tun tun' sound filled the multi-purpose venue this Wednesday afternoon.
First, it was the turn of the youngest participants. Enthusiastic with their drums, they entered the venue to rehearse all the songs they will perform on Tuesday, April 28, through the center of the Alavese capital. Following them, the more experienced adults took over. Drumsticks and mallets resonated on drums and barrels, getting into shape for the upcoming Monday, April 27, a key date in the calendar that maintains the double session: afternoon and midnight.
Alongside the most dedicated participants in the rehearsals, the music band was also present. To the rhythm of their beat, they played the iconic tunes of the Tamborrada, such as Retreta de San Prudencio, Arabako Martxa, Vals Gasteiz, Tamborrada Vitoriana, and Txun txun Eguna, among others. Only one final 'training' session remains, scheduled for the morning of Sunday, April 26, at the Iradier Arena, where most of the Tamborrada participants will gather to finalize details before parading and playing through the streets of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
