‘The Eye of the Needle’ Exhibition: Memory of 1936 War Children in Irun

The CBA Center hosts the free exhibition from September 3rd to 19th, recalling the experiences of children during the war through photographs and stories.

The CBA Culture and Creation Center in Irun will host the free exhibition ‘The Eye of the Needle: 1936 – Children of War’ from September 3rd to 19th, aiming to recover the memory of children who had to flee and go into exile due to the 1936 war.

The main focus of the exhibition is the experiences of the youngest children from Gipuzkoa and Irun, recalling the harsh events of the time through photographs and narratives.
Visiting hours: Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. Closed on Mondays and Sundays.
Additionally, as a complement, on September 17th at 18:30, historian Iosu Chueca will give a special talk in the same venue. Titled ‘Children of War: Evacuation and Exile’, he will detail the key aspects of the flight and exile suffered by young people from Irun 90 years ago.
