Following the success of last year's sessions, the program will now run for ten months. A total of 20 sessions will be offered from September 16, 2026, to June 9, 2027. The activities are free of charge, aimed at individuals over 18 years of age, and do not require prior registration.
The sessions will take place on Wednesdays, from 18:30 to 20:00, each lasting 90 minutes. This initiative is promoted by the Municipal Public Health Service, with support from the Department of Open Government and Civic Centers. Its aim is to provide citizens with tools to manage anxiety and offer a space for calm and relaxation to improve well-being.
Ana López de Uralde, Councilor for Public Health, highlighted the initiative's "good reception" among citizens. Miren Fernández de Landa, Councilor for Open Government and Civic Centers, reminded that "we often live in a hurry and with little time for ourselves," making it important to "learn to stop, breathe, and relax."
The Zabalgana Civic Center team conceives this activity as a space for relaxation in response to growing levels of stress, anxiety, and loneliness. It seeks to offer citizens an accessible and welcoming environment that allows them to "stop and become aware of their body and mind."
