The municipal pools of Gamarra and Mendizorrotza in Vitoria-Gasteiz have recorded a 40% increase in bathers this summer season, reaching a total of 581,086 users, the highest figure in the last seven years.

The total number of bathers at the Gamarra and Mendizorrotza complexes during the recently concluded summer campaign increased by 40% compared to the previous season, reaching a total of 581,086 people. This figure represents the best record in the last seven summer seasons, highlighting the importance of municipal pools as an essential public service for citizens' well-being and quality of life.
The Gamarra park welcomed 189,279 people, a 52% increase compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the Mendizorrotza complex registered 391,807 users, an increase of 35% and the highest figure since 2017 for this facility.
High temperatures have been a key factor in the rise in attendance. Throughout the campaign, 62 days exceeded 30 degrees, and another 34 were between 25 and 30 degrees. Furthermore, 97 days of the campaign had no precipitation, contributing to the pools being an attractive destination.
The campaign also included a program of sports and recreational activities from June 22 to July 31, which was very well-received, with daily participation peaks of over 120 people in Gamarra's aquatic activities.
These attendance figures confirm that the municipal pools of Vitoria-Gasteiz are essential public services, offering safe spaces for leisure, sports, and intergenerational coexistence.
