The Bilbao City Council has initiated the urbanization and conditioning works of the old industrial facilities in Punta Zorrotza to adapt them as filming spaces. The project has a duration of 9 months and a budget of 4 million euros.

The Bilbao City Council has commenced the urbanization and conditioning works of the old industrial facilities located in Punta Zorrotza, with the aim of adapting them for use as filming spaces. This initiative is part of the strategic project "Hub Audiovisual Bilbao Bizkaia", jointly promoted with the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
The works will affect 4 pavilions (P7-8 and P1-2), the old Chalet, and two smaller buildings, covering a total area of 41,684.30 m2. The pavilions will be adapted as versatile spaces for film sets, art storage, carpentry, and decoration. The smaller buildings will serve as the new entrance point to the Hub, and the Chalet will house production offices and dressing rooms.
Improvements include the enclosure of the plot, access roads, and the upgrade of networks and services necessary for audiovisual activity, such as lighting, sanitation, telecommunications, and security.
The planned execution period is 9 months, with a budget of 3,999,483.88 euros (VAT included). Depending on the progress of the work and provided safety and feasibility are guaranteed, filming activities will be compatible with the ongoing construction.
