Vitoria-Gasteiz hosted the first stop of the Euskadi Organic Fair Route 2026 this Saturday. This initiative will travel through various Basque towns in the coming months, aiming to bring organic production and local consumption closer to citizens.
From early morning until lunchtime, dozens of people visited the Celedones de Oro square to explore the stalls set up by organic producers and artisans. Visitors were able to purchase local products such as bread, vegetables, pasta, and cheeses from areas like Maeztu or El Villar.
The event was not limited to the market. At 11:30 AM, a press conference officially launched the Euskadi Organic Fair Route. Subsequently, at 12:15 PM, a workshop on local wild plants began. The latter part of the morning focused on gastronomy and music, featuring a showcooking session and a small concert.
After midday, a showcooking event concluded the program, once again bringing together producers and consumers around a more sustainable consumption model. It was a morning where organic products took center stage in the heart of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
