The fourteenth edition of the Haziak competition, organized by the Municipal Youth Service of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, has chosen seven innovative projects to promote creativity, culture, and youth participation in the city.

The Haziak competition has selected the seven best projects, which will receive technical support and up to 3,000 euros to foster creativity, culture, and youth participation in Vitoria-Gasteiz. A total of 15 proposals were submitted by 30 young people aged between 14 and 30.
The jury, comprising young people and technical staff, evaluated the viability, theme, and originality of each proposal, as well as creativity and the importance of not repeating previously awarded ideas. This year's participation was primarily focused on the 21 to 30 age category.
The awarded ideas cover various fields such as publications, social initiatives, art, and fashion. These include a publication on youth experiences regarding sexuality, an alternative space for exhibiting young artists' works, a surreal theatrical performance, a collective cultural fanzine, a clothing collection for people undergoing long-term chemotherapy, a short film on social evolution, and a photography project to highlight social realities in the city.

"It is important to promote policies that encourage creativity, culture, and active participation among young people in Vitoria-Gasteiz."
