The Black 51 venue has once again presented itself as the host for the Mus Championship, aiming to be a regular meeting point for the residents of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The Black 51 venue, located on Avenida Naciones Unidas in Vitoria-Gasteiz, has once again presented itself as the host for the III Mus Championship, reinforcing its role as a regular meeting point for locals. Beyond coffee, it's a versatile space offering everything from breakfasts to late-night drinks, as well as concerts, monologues, and informal dinners.
Its owner, David Monzón, recalls that the project began just eleven days before the pandemic hit, marking a challenging start. He admits that managing a team of nearly 20 people and dealing with rising costs have been difficult, but the overall outlook is one of continuity and growth. Three years ago, they expanded the business by incorporating the adjacent space.
Black 51 maintains a consistent program. Monzón explains that they primarily organize concerts and anniversaries, featuring live music or DJs, and adapting their offerings for events like Carnival, New Year's Eve, or local festivals.
Regarding its food menu, the "bocata Black" is one of its most well-known dishes, alongside burgers, tapas, and beers. The bar has also become a popular spot for watching football. Monzón believes the venue's philosophy is simple: to continue nurturing its relationship with the community, ensuring Black remains a neighborhood reference.
