The event aims to delve into Afrofeminism, intersectionality, and the multiple realities experienced by African and Afro-descendant women. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
“"We encourage all citizens to participate in this discussion, which seeks to create a space for listening, shared learning, and collective reflection from a plural, diverse, and inclusive perspective of feminism."
During the conversation, topics such as colonialism, structural racism, poverty, gender violence, discrimination, and the marginalization of ethnic minorities will be addressed. Strategies for resistance, organization, and social transformation promoted by African and Afro-descendant women will also be examined.
The round table will feature the feminist activist Jeanne Rolande Dacougna, the president of FAMEK Elkartea, Mari Lucía Monsheneke Bitimina, and the president of the Firekutzen Association, Fatou Dieng. This initiative is part of Zarautz's commitment to equality, intercultural coexistence, and the visibility of diverse voices and experiences that enrich feminist and social debate.
