Orio has convincingly won the weekend's first race in Santurtzi (Bizkaia), also strengthening its lead in the overall standings of the Eusko Label League. The Euskotren League boat, however, finished the regatta in sixth place.

Currents and wind conditioned the regatta held on the river in Santurtzi. In the tenth round of the Euskotren League, Orio started leading the first turn, and on the return, gaining the lane from Zumaia, finished five seconds after Donostiarra, with a time of 13.45.20. Thus, the Orio team finished the regatta in sixth place.
In the second turn, the Arraun Lagunak team won the regatta convincingly, taking advantage of better conditions, and consolidated its lead in the Euskotren League.
The men's Eusko Label League boats competed in better conditions, with the currents somewhat calmer, benefiting the regional crews that competed in the third turn. Orio started leading the turn, but Getaria and Zierbena followed closely. The league leader managed to extend its advantage and, with good turns, won the flag with a time of 19.39.42.
In the afternoon, in the KAE1 League regatta held in Pedreña (Cantabria), Orio's boat finished tenth, with a time of 21.47.18.
Tomorrow, the rowers from the Euskotren and Eusko Label Leagues will compete in the second round of the weekend in Lekeitio (Bizkaia). Those from the KAE1 League, meanwhile, will compete in Santander (Cantabria).
