Verónica García has been appointed as the new tourism technician for the Urola Kosta Mancomunidad (UKUE), a move that reinforces the commitment to strengthening the region's tourism model.

The Urola Kosta Mancomunidad (UKUE) will now have a new tourism technician, Verónica García. Ion Arozena, president of UKUE, highlighted that "the hiring of a tourism technician is a significant step to consolidate the path Urola Kosta has taken in tourism management in recent years and to respond to future challenges".
According to Arozena, this appointment "reaffirms our commitment to a tourism model that will bring benefits to the entire territory". It will also serve to "further strengthen the collaboration between the Mancomunidad and the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council, to develop the region's tourism offerings in a coordinated manner and continue consolidating Urola Kosta as a year-round attractive, sustainable, high-quality, and competitive destination".
Last Friday, Azahara Domínguez, Deputy of Mobility, Tourism, and Territorial Planning, met with UKUE officials to meet the new tourism technician, Verónica García.
Domínguez emphasized that the tourism technician role will provide the "opportunity to advance in the management of a tourism model that will generate wealth and stable, quality employment". She added that having a qualified professional for tourism management is essential, as it is "the third largest tourist destination in Gipuzkoa, with 101,758 entries in 2025, and is making a great effort to become a benchmark destination for family tourism".
