The Telmo Deun Rowing Club has unveiled the boats that will represent Zumaia in the 2026 season, with the women's team competing in the Euskotren League and the men's in the ARC-1 League.

The Telmo Deun Rowing Club today unveiled the boats that will represent Zumaia in the 2026 season, in an event held at Saregile square. The women's team will compete in the Euskotren League, while the men's team will race in the ARC-1 League.
For the women's team, coach Kike Manterola will embark on his 14th season leading a very young squad. According to Manterola, there have been more changes than anticipated, and the team's primary objective will be to maintain their league status and finish the season as strongly as possible.
The men's team will be led this year by Mikel Portularrume. This will be the former rower's third experience as a coach, having previously managed the boats from Lapurdiko and Santurtzi. In his words, the team aims to reach the 'honor tanda,' meaning finishing among the top four crews.
Several young rowers from the club's youth system also participated in the presentation. However, representatives from the mixed veteran boat could not attend as they are currently competing in the Spanish Rowing Championship this weekend in the bay of Meira, Moaña (Galicia).
The ARC-1 League is set to begin next weekend, on June 20th and 21st, with the first two regattas: the XXII. Real Astillero de Guarnizo Bandera in Astillero (Cantabria) and the III. Adinberri Bandera in Pasaia. The female rowers from Zumaia, on the other hand, will have to wait another week to start their season, with the first round of the Euskotren League taking place on June 28th with the Canal de Isabel II–175. Anniversary Bandera.
