The races are scheduled for Wednesday, September 2nd, and the Department of Mobility, Tourism, and Territorial Planning has implemented this measure in response to a request from the Getaria City Council, aiming to allow fans to support the rowers.
Specifically, the Lurraldebus UK10 line (connecting Zumaia and Donostia) will offer a special service departing at 16:00 from Zumaia and at 21:00 from Donostia. Additionally, the UK11 line (Zumaia>Donostia via AP-8 through Zarautz) will depart at 16:30 from Zumaia and at 19:30 from Donostia.
Azahara Dominguez, the Deputy for Mobility, Tourism, and Territorial Planning, stated that the La Concha Band is "one of the most important sporting events of the summer." Therefore, they want "citizens to be able to attend the regatta in a sustainable, accessible, and comfortable manner."
The women's qualifying race will take place on Thursday, September 3rd. However, Lurraldebus has not yet announced any special transport services for that event.
