The Cristobal Balenciaga Museum in Getaria hosted the Silver Anchovy Awards ceremony, recognizing the work of three important entities connected to the fishing sector.

This event annually marks the beginning of Anchovy Day, honoring companies, individuals, and associations that have made significant contributions to the world of fishing.
This year, three companies closely associated with vessels were highlighted first: Aizpuru Elektrizitatea, Talleres Arostegi, and Kemen. These companies have always been ready to meet the needs of fishermen, offering support at any time.
Next, an individual who served as the coordinator for sustainable tuna fishing management at AZTI and recently retired was honored. This person expressed great pleasure at receiving this recognition.
Finally, the third Silver Anchovy Award went to the Getaria Rowing Association, which celebrates its half-century anniversary this year. The association's president accepted the award, and after his speech, several rowers present also joined him on stage. The event concluded with four songs performed by the Salbatore Choir.
